This policy explains how a Skolika subscription is billed, how to cancel it, and how the 90-day money-back guarantee works. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. The free plan
The free plan is free indefinitely. It asks for no payment card, does not expire after a trial period, and there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. You may stay on it for as long as you like.
2. How paid plans are billed
- Billing is per active teacher, per month. A teacher who holds no class during a billing month is not counted.
- Students are unlimited on every plan and are never billed for.
- Adding a teacher part-way through a period is charged pro rata for the remainder of that period.
- Pausing or removing a teacher takes effect from your next renewal; the current period is not re-billed downwards.
- Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
3. The 90-day money-back guarantee
If Skolika does not suit you, you get back what you paid, with no questions asked, within 90 days of your first paid subscription.
- What it covers: every subscription payment you have made in your first 90 days as a paying customer.
- How to claim: email info@skolika.com from the address on the account, or ask through in-product support. You do not have to give a reason.
- How it is paid: to the original payment method. We start the refund within 5 working days of your request; how long it then takes to appear is set by your bank or card issuer, usually 5–10 working days.
- What happens to the account: a refunded account returns to the free plan. Nothing is deleted at that moment, and you keep access to your data and your export.
- Once: the guarantee applies to an academy’s first paid subscription, not to each successive renewal or to a second account opened for the same academy.
4. Cancelling
Cancel from your own settings in one click. There is no phone call, no retention conversation and no notice period.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
- After that the account moves to the free plan; it is not closed and nothing is erased at that point.
- Outside the 90-day guarantee we do not refund part-months. If you cancel mid-period you keep the plan to the end of it.
5. Your data when you leave
You can export your students, schedules, attendance and payment records as a single file at any time, including after cancelling. If you ask us to close the account entirely, you have 30 days from that request to take your export, after which the data is deleted from live systems as described in the Privacy Policy. Ask, and we will confirm the date in writing before anything is deleted.
6. Your students’ tuition is not ours to refund
This is the point most often misunderstood, so it is stated plainly: Skolika never receives your students’ money. You collect tuition directly, and Skolika only records it. If a student asks you for their money back, that is between you and them, under whatever terms you agreed. We cannot reverse a payment we never held, and this policy covers only what you pay us for the software.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal fails we will email you and retry over several days. If it still cannot be taken, the account moves to the free plan rather than being closed — your data stays, and the paid features stop. Nothing is deleted for non-payment.
8. Price changes
A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for. We give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a new price affects your renewal, which is time enough to cancel if you would rather not continue.
