This policy explains what cookies Skolika sets, what each group is for, and how to change your mind. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. On your next page it is sent back, which is how a site remembers that you are signed in, which language you chose, or that you have already answered a question. Some are deleted when you close the browser; others last a set period.
2. The three groups Skolika uses
These are exactly the three shown in the cookie settings panel, and you can change the last two at any time.
Necessary — always on
Without these the site cannot work, so they cannot be switched off. They keep you signed in, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, remember your cookie choice itself, and hold the timezone your class times are shown in.
Preferences — optional
These remember choices you made so you do not have to repeat them: interface language, currency, and whether you have dismissed a notice. Turn them off and the site still works, but it will stop remembering these between visits.
Statistics — optional
These help us count visits and see which pages are used, so we can fix what is slow or confusing. They are only set once you have accepted this group, and no analytics tag loads before then.
3. The cookies themselves
| Cookie | Group | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Necessary | Keeps you signed in across pages. | Until the browser closes |
| CONF_SITE_CONSENTS | Necessary | Stores the cookie choice you made, so you are not asked again. | 7 days |
| CONF_SITE_TIMEZONE | Necessary | Shows class times in your own timezone. | 7 days |
| CONF_SITE_LANGUAGE | Preferences | Remembers the language you selected. | 7 days |
| CONF_SITE_CURRENCY | Preferences | Remembers the currency prices are shown in. | 7 days |
| CLOSE_COOKIE_MESSAGE | Preferences | Remembers that you closed the cookie bar. | 7 days |
| TOP_MESSAGE | Preferences | Remembers that you dismissed the announcement bar. | Set by the announcement |
| Analytics cookies | Statistics | Set by our analytics provider to count visits and pages. Only after you accept. | Set by the provider |
4. Third-party cookies
Some pages embed a service that sets its own cookies — a live class window, an embedded video, or a support chat. Those cookies are governed by that provider’s policy, not ours. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell what analytics tells us.
5. Changing your choice
Signed in, open Account → Cookie consent and switch Preferences or Statistics on or off; the change takes effect immediately. Signed out, clear this site’s cookies in your browser and the consent bar will ask again on your next visit.
Every major browser can also block or delete cookies for a site, or for all sites, from its own settings. Blocking necessary cookies will stop you signing in.
6. Changes to this policy
If the cookies we use change, this page changes with them and the date at the top is updated.
